A four month internship with a £1,000 bursary is available for a graduate or emerging journalist with expertise in the exploitation of new media and an interest in film as an art form.
In spring 2012 The Point and The Berry Theatre will be launching their Classic Film Festival, which will explore classic film within a wider cultural and cross art form interpretation.
The films chosen will have local distinctiveness and will relate to key themes that are specific to 2012. The classic films will sit alongside new short films and archive material in the exploration of the topic. The Point and The Berry want to generate interest, discussion, interviews, and articles. In short, their aim is to raise the profile of film as an art form.
The internship will be based at The Point in Eastleigh and the successful candidate will be working alongside our well established marketing team and our creative learning team.
The internship will begin in March. Working hours will be flexible and linked to the build-up to the three main events in the Classic Film Festival. The details of this internship will be developed to fit the profile of the successful candidate.
To apply please send a CV and covering letter to paul.spencer@eastleigh.gov.uk.
The closing date for applications is Monday 13 February 2012.
