Main duties involve:
- Delivering workshops on specific historical periods and themes
- Delivering engaging guided tours of the venues for adults and children
- It might also involve leading family or drop in sessions in SCC venues.
Learning groups encompass a range of ages and abilities and so a key skill is adapting your style and information to suit the audience.
Other opportunities:
The Sea City museum is also interested in people who have skills such as costume dramatisation/interpretation or story telling for their venues.
They are looking for individuals suitable for guided tours for adults or children and family and school workshops. A history background is preferred and any experience of teaching is an asset. Work is currently being offered on a freelance, casual basis and the rate is £20 per hour (though they cannot guarantee a minimum number of bookings).
