Learn how to perform baroque dances from the French court such as the minuet, bourée, saraband, gigue and other beautiful and elegant 17C & 18C dances! You will be taught by one of the UK’s leading baroque dance experts, Barbara Segal and the class is suitable for complete beginners. There will also be some opportunities to attend some wonderful 18C grand balls and events both in this country and abroad. For those who like sewing you can also learn how to make an 18C dress (think Marie Antoinette!) or costume. Potential musicians also welcome as we hope to form a music group to play for the dancers later this term.
