The Chesil Theatre in Winchester may well be better known for putting on its own productions by established playwrights such as Terrence Rattigan, Tenessee Williams, Shakespeare etc but it is also keen to give local new writers a platform through its successful biennial 10×10 event.
10×10 is all about discovering new writing talent and giving aspiring playwrights an opportunity to see their work performed on stage. This year 10×10 has also been chosen to take part in the national RSCs open stages
There are two parts to 10×10:
The first part, which is now closed, was the playwriting competition inviting writers to submit a play based on a Shakespearean theme, so as to link in with the RSCs open stages criteria.

- Doubt Truth to be a Liar – Sarah Reilly
- Herbie – Jonathan Edgington
